drmiler: One thing I can tell you with absolute certainty. You personaly do not have any AP rounds unless you lifted some from an armoury. They are illegal to own or sell in the US. The closest thing you can get is if you have some "Wolf" brand 7.62x39 ammo which has a mild steel core but is NOT an actual AP Round. Your right about another thing. If your going to answer this maybe you should start a seperate blog. I'd rather you get the points than AJ. The federal law sou r ces I have...

Yahoo News: Opposition Launches Protest in Beirut Monday's protest easily topped a pro-government rally of hundreds of thousands of people last week by the Shiite Muslim militant group Hezbollah. That show of strength forced the opposition to try to regain its momentum . I became somewhat interested in Lebanon a little over 14 years ago. For one of my majors in college I was required to take two semesters of a non-European language. Since the US was involved in a little somethi...

UN sactions on exports were placed on Iraq on August 6, 1990 in response to their invasion of Kuwait. Following the defeat of Iraq in the Gulf War, sanctions on military weaponry were enacted. The population of Iraq in 1991 was approximately 18 million. The quoted figures state that 7,000 Iraqis (5000 of them children) were dying a month as a result. Over 1 million Iraqis, including over 700,000 children, were killed as a result of the sanctions. By 2003, the Iraqi population...

Let's start off appropriately. Innocent until proven guilty is really only relevant within the court of law. So to all his supporters, please stop exclaiming Michael Jackson is innocent until proven guilty at the top of your lungs. The only people that that concerns are the judge and, more importantly, the jury. But is innocent until proven guilty even a realistic statement? Is it even logical? I argue that based on the setup on our legal system, it is a total fallacy to use s...

From the San Francisco Chronicle View the story here Two former employees of the Gorilla Foundation, home to Koko the "talking" ape, have filed a lawsuit contending that they were ordered to bond with the 33-year-old female simian by displaying their breasts. Nancy Alperin and Kendra Keller, both of San Francisco, are taking on the Woodside nonprofit and its president, Francine "Penny" Patterson. One example: "On at least two incidents in mid-to-late June 2004, Patterson in...

In July, on a message board I have since left, I asked a question to all the American members. I was curious in finding out if an how one's political beliefs have changed with time. I asked because several messages I came across were stated that such and such person voted for Bush in 2000 but wouldn't be voting for him in 2004. Likewise some said they voted for Gore in 2000 but would not be supporting Kerry in 2004. About fifteen minutes ago I read a comment by Gideon mentioning why he wa...

In a number of conversations and message boards I've been a party to, I've noticed that time and time again left-wingers, anxious to portray America or her Allies as history's ultimate terrorists, have of late taken up Depleted Uranium munitions as one of their new outrages. Hell, it even comes complete with its own scary word: uranium . It evokes horrible memories of Hiroshima and Chernobyl. For a propagandist , this may have the potential to presented as the next Agent Orange; perhaps e...

Israel's barriers with the Gaza Strip and the West Bank have been quite successful in stemming the infiltration of Palestinian attackers. There are varying estimates for the per-mile cost of the wall*, but I'll settle on $2 million dollars a mile. The border between the United States and Mexico is about 2000 miles long. For the sake of this article, I'll give some leeway for some additional inefficiency and suggest the wall costs $3 million per mile to build on the US-Mexican border. ...

I bought a bag of Barnum's Animal Crackers for my daughter earlier. I didn't see any of the memorable boxes they came in at the store, so I bought the 8 oz. bag. My little girl had a few crackers (she was very amused by the elephants for some reason) before I put her and my son to bed around 8:30. Before my wife and I started watching one of her Friends dvd's I grabbed the bag of Animal Crackers. I finished the entire bag! Isn't that sad? So now I'm heading out again to buy another bag...

I just got done reading over another blogger's article about smoking, as well as the comments, and I was driven to make a response to some of the comments I read. Link What exactly is everyone referring to by the phrase "public places?" Do they mean government-run areas, or does it simply mean any place outside the privacy of the home? I assume they mean the latter. I hear a lot of this sentiment, as lifted from the comments : Reply By: RPGuere Posted: Thursday, January 2...

We got a little bit of snow here in central Illinois, and a lot wind. The weather was not to my liking. I spent about an hour shoveling and snowblowing early this afternoon. The biggest problem of all was my knees. I feel like arthritis is starting to make an appearance. This morning I felt slight discomfort. By the time I was finished shoveling, they were aching. My wife and kids and I were playing around in the snow until sundown (about 5pm or so) and for much of the time I kept tell...

When everyone here was younger, did any of you here anything such as the following: "The ______ Tribe of _______ didn't have words for my , mine , his , her , hers , your , yours , their , theirs . They shared everything so the proper words were our or ours . For some reason while I was watching TV earlier this evening, the thought of somone in my youth reciting that statement entered my mind. Here's a problem that I just realized with that saying. Of course people can sa...
