American Hostage Taken in Iraq

I just found out on the local news that Mr. Jeffrey Ake is also a University of Illinois alumnus, also with a history degree. My thoughts are with him and his family. He's a
bottled water and liquid packaging man
, for crying out loud. Let him go.
Unfortunately I don't have any faith that he'll survive. I'm going to suggest that all Americans in the country should be fitted with a tracking device.
I have a very morbid mind. I often think about violence and death. I've tried to imagine what I would do in a kidnapping situation in Iraq. The idea of meeting the same fate as Nick Berg, Ken Bigley, Eugene Armstrong, and Jack Hensley leads me to the conclusion that I would rather die shooting back in a gun battle, or even blowing up my attackers with a suicide bomb. But it's always easier to think when one is not actually facing the perils of the situation. I guess the hostages hold out hope that they will be rescued or that their captors will have a change of heart.

The problem with the tracking device idea is, how long before the other side learns how to use the technology against us. Remember, electronic means of tracking and identifying works both ways.
As for Mr. Jeffrey Ake, my heart and prayers go out to him, his family and those who know and love him. As with all our people who have put themselves in harm's way to free a nation.

I guess I should clarify. All contract workers in Iraq and all those at high risk of being taken hostage. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Iraqis already know, generally, what these contractors are doing and where they're working.
